  • For Couples: Wedding date, location, budget range, wedding type, contact preferences
  • For Photographers: Business name, location, portfolio images, bio, Instagram handle, contact email, service areas, pricing information
  • Communications: Messages sent through our platform, email correspondence
  • Marketing Preferences: Your choice to receive marketing communications

Information Collected Automatically

When you use Phindr, we automatically collect:

  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent on platform
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address
  • Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our matching service
  • Match couples with suitable photographers based on style, location, and budget
  • Facilitate communication between matched parties
  • Send important notifications about matches, likes, and account activity
  • Process payments and subscriptions (for photographers)

  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity

4. Marketing Communications

If you opt in during registration, we may send you marketing communications including:

  • Tips and advice for wedding photographers

Your Choices: You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by:

Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we will still send you transactional emails related to your account activity (such as match notifications and account updates).

We use Resend as our email service provider. If you opt in to marketing communications, your email address will be stored in our mailing list on Resend's servers for the purpose of sending these communications.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

With Other Users

  • Before Matching: Couples browse photographer portfolios anonymously. Photographers do not see who is viewing their work
  • When You Like: Photographers are notified that someone liked their work, but they do NOT see any of your information
  • After Matching: Couples receive the photographer's contact information and can reach out directly. Photographers only receive couple information (name, wedding details, contact information) when the couple sends them a message. Phindr does not automatically share couple details with photographers

With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate our platform:

  • Hosting and storage services (Supabase, Vercel)
  • Email delivery services (Resend)
  • Payment processing (Stripe - for photographer subscriptions)
  • Analytics services

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

If you have opted in to marketing communications, your email address will remain on our mailing list until you unsubscribe or request removal.
